Overview and Procedural Steps

The Panopto editor Save As feature allows users to save a trimmed version of an existing video while leaving the original video unchanged.

1. Open the video in the editor.

2. Edit the video accordingly. Once you have completed all desired edits and/or trims, click the More Actions icon (three vertical dots) and select Save As.

3. In the Save As window, specify a title (the original video title with “copy” added is the default) and choose a destination folder. If you want to omit the trimmed sections from the copy, select the Discard cut sections in the new video toggle. Click Save when finished. The video copy will open in a new browser tab accordingly.
