Third Course Attempt
Texas legislation does not provide state funding for any course for which a student enrolls more than two times, regardless of grade received. Austin Community College (ACC) charges a Third Course Attempt Fee for the following:
- Courses with the same or substantially similar content.
- Courses that have been attempted more than twice.
- Graded and/or courses dropped after the College census.
The Third Course Attempt Fee does not affect developmental, special topics, and other state approved courses. Check the ACC website for a listing of courses that are exempt from the third attempt fee.
