The Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of Science (AS), and Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT) degrees include courses drawn from the core curriculum. These degrees prepare you to transfer to a Texas public university or college as a junior with a specific major.

Career and technical credentials such as the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degrees and certificate programs follow Austin Community College’s (ACC) general education requirements, which are aligned with the core curriculum. These degrees and certificates prepare you to enter a specialized career field. While the AAS degree is not focused on transfer, ACC has formal agreements with partner universities that allow transferability of courses in some ACC programs.
