ACC International Programs partners with the University of Texas-Austin Hemispheres Consortium to host two Faculty Learning Communities (FLC) each year to engage a small interdisciplinary group of ACC faculty members in high-quality programming and collaborative discussions on globalizing community college courses. Applications for the Globalizing Education and Global Gender and Women’s Studies FLCs are open through April 29th, 2022.

Here are the benefits of participating in this FLC model.

1. Members are treated to speakers from UT-Austin and elsewhere to learn about issues in various world regions.

2. Members have an active role in shaping programming and discussions throughout the year.

3. Members gain a collaborative and supportive space to discuss and work with their colleagues.

4. Members integrate global topics and develop new curriculum or programming that is inclusive, intersectional, and equity-minded.
