Achievements (Badges) in Suitable

Badges, achievements, and micro-credentials are terms often used interchangeably. At ACC, there is a differentiation that is important to note.

Micro-credentials are awards based on a certified mastery of competencies through short-term learning experiences. These can be represented in a number of ways – certificate, on a transcript, in Workday, or as a digital badge.

Achievements and Badges are used interchangeably in Suitable. These are defined as the graphic representations of a competency, achievement, or event-based micro-credential.

Example: Digital Fluency & Innovations ‘Web Analytics’ Micro-credential Achievement represented by its Digital Badge.
