Accessing Suitable Using Google Groups

The awarding of credit for activity completion is assigned to a specific Google Group that was established when the activity was created. However, the initial login for Suitable will be your personal ACC account. To access Suitable as the Google Group:

  1. Navigate to ACC’s Suitable production site.
  2. Log in as yourself through Okta SSO.
  3. Log out.
  4. Enter the Google group email address and hit continue.
  5. Instead of clicking the blue sign-in button, click the light grey text at the bottom of the window that says Need Help Sign in Another Way.
  6. Enter your password when prompted and Login.

View Pending Approvals

Students can mark activities complete in Suitable. If the activity is set as an activity that must be approved to award completion, the request for credit will appear in the Approvals section of Suitable. Once these activities are marked complete by the user, the approver must verify completion and award credit.

  1. Login to ACC’s Suitable production site.
  2. Click on Approvals on the left side of the page.  You will be presented with all activities that are pending approval. You can also filter the list by clicking on the For Me filter at the top of the page.
  3. Click the activity that has a pending completion to see all users who are awaiting approval.
  4. For each user, click the appropriate button to award credit. You can also click on the checkboxes next to multiple individuals to award credit in bulk.

Note: You will only be able to award credit for Achievements under your area.

Awarding Credit Without Approvals

In addition to users manually requesting credit for an activity, activity administrators can award ad-hoc credit for activity completion.

  1. Login to ACC’s Suitable production site.
  2. Click on Activities on the left side of the page and navigate to the desired activity.
  3. Click on the 3 dots in the top right corner of the activity and select Give Credit.

  1. In the search box at the top of the window, enter the name, email address, or eID for the user that should receive credit.
    1. Suitable does allow searching for and selecting multiple individuals.
    2. Suitable also allows awarding credit via bulk import of student data.
  2. To award credit via bulk import, follow steps 1-3 above.
  3. Instead of searching and selecting a specific user, select Import and follow the prompts to import a set of student data.
  4. You will need to then “Download Template” and paste Email addresses for awarding credit.
    1. Note: Use only the template provided. Do not add any fields or edits any fields on the template. Modifying the template will result in a failed import process.
    2. Note: ACC Employee email address trump ACC student email addresses. If you are awarding credit in Suitable for faculty/staff/employees always import their employee email only.
  5. Once all users are selected, click on the Give Credit button at the top of the page.
  6. A pop-up message will appear confirming that the action has been completed.
