Student Skill Development
Earn skills that employers recognize
Austin Community College (ACC) students can earn digital badges that document skill development, leadership, and career readiness. Students have the opportunity to earn two different kinds of accolades:
- Participation awards: Recognition of engagement or attendance at events and programs.
- Achievement awards: Recognition of distinguished accomplishments, leadership, service, or institutional awards.
Students may earn recognition for campus engagement, event attendance, institutional awards, leadership involvement, and more!
Earning badges helps students build skills employers and universities care about, like communication, leadership and problem-solving, while also giving you experiences you can talk about in interviews and applications.
These badges are showcased on Suitable as a co-curricular transcript, which is a visual, comprehensive presentation of a student’s entire collegiate experience. This helps students tell their ACC story outside of the classroom!
