Austin Community College (ACC) faculty may earn competency-based badges reflecting demonstrated levels of proficiency assessed by credentialed professionals and badges recognizing professional growth, innovation, and leadership. Both faculty and staff can earn digital badges recognizing professional development, service milestones, leadership, and wellness engagement.
ACC employees have the opportunity to earn several different kinds of accolades, such as:
- Proficiency awards: Proficiency awards acknowledge foundational competency on various topics.
- Advanced awards: Advanced awards denote a higher level of expertise. Advanced badges are visually distinguished by a gold outlining ribbon.
- Participation awards: Recognition of engagement or attendance at events and programs.
- Achievement awards: Recognition of distinguished accomplishments, leadership, service, or institutional awards.
*Some faculty-facing badges are not available for staff.
