The Teaching & Learning Excellence Division (TLED) has been working tirelessly to provide full-time and adjunct faculty with the support, resources, and services necessary to navigate remote teaching and learning during the COVID-19 health crisis. In June 2020 we asked faculty for their feedback on what we’re calling “The Great Migration to Online Learning” so that we can create customized professional development and training programs, identify and secure resources for working and teaching remotely, and provide services that will help faculty support ACC students in their new learning environment.

Here are two of the survey question results and what TLED is doing in response.

>> We’ve added even more Remote Recess sessions to our schedule of upcoming events! Remote Recess sessions offer an opportunity for faculty to gather online and learn something new in a low-stakes, casual, and FUN way. Each session will focus on a topic (like Blackboard Collaborate), will start with a short demo, then the facilitator will open the session to Q&A. Participants are encouraged to share tips and tricks as we all learn how to teach remotely together. These sessions are designed to help you decide how and when to use certain technologies and activities online.
