1. Discover Your Blind Spots: Teach for All Students
Faculty Development Coordinators Jeff Johannigman and Chelsea Biggerstaff will teach you how to adapt your teaching methods to engage students using equity designed principles.
2. Faculty Talent Onboarding
“Onboarding” might seem like a strange choice for seasoned ACC faculty, but each session’s curriculum also serves as great refresher courses for experienced faculty in need of professional development hours. Don’t miss upcoming topics, including: Connecting with your College, Colleagues, and Students, Evaluation and Portfolio Process, Student Success Resources, and Teaching and Learning Strategies.
3. Student Accessibility Services Workshops
Student Accessibility Services is offering several professional development opportunities this semester to help you explore how to remove barriers to access, implementing assistive technology, “everything you wanted to know about SAS – but were afraid to ask,” and more.
4. Student Rights & Responsibilities
Do you have students who are tardy, nap, or monopolize class time? Join the Student Affairs team to discuss how to approach situations in your class or outside of class, where to go for advice, & what resources are available.
