Notes from the AVP – General Assembly 2019
September 3, 2019
Dear TLED team,
We have a short but busy week ahead as we prepare to host the largest ACC employee event of the year! General Assembly is this Friday and we have a great lineup of speakers and breakout sessions. I just wanted to share the registration numbers and how much interest there has been on the topics we’ve put together for the afternoon sessions.

Collaboration between Human Resources and Student Affairs |
- This year we have had the most cross-departmental collaboration in the planning and implementation efforts. In addition to TLED faculty and staff, we have had participation from Student Affairs, Instruction, Marketing, Campus Operations, Human Resources, Sustainability, and Wellness. General Assembly has been a great example of how we can leverage and build partnerships to move forward with clarity of purpose, roles and outcomes.
- This is also the first time we are hosting the event at the Austin Convention Center, a city-run facility with LEED® Gold Certification.
- We will be leveraging the use of iPads for check-in.
- We have an event ‘app’ available for participants.
- We have multiple transportation options available in addition to the traditional ACC shuttles.
