New Student Resources Web Page

ACC studentsACC is excited to unveil a redesigned student resources web page, developed in collaboration with students, faculty, and staff across the College. The new design improves navigation and highlights the most important tools for success, making it easier for students to quickly find the information they need. This update reflects ACC’s commitment to student success and to ensuring every Riverbat can access the right resources when they need them. Additionally, faculty are strongly encouraged to bookmark these valuable resource links so they can quickly and easily share them with students throughout the semester:

Student Life

    • Encourage your students to join Student Life (SL) for Weeks of Welcome to connect with peers and explore campus resources. Remind them to claim their free MySL account to stay updated on SL events and get involved in student organizations. Students can also register for Fall Rec Sports to stay active and engaged this semester.
    • Student Life staff are available to give short presentations on services, leadership opportunities, events, and ways students can get connected on campus. Presentations can be tailored to your class time and students’ needs. Schedule a session through the Student Life Collaboration Request Form.

Student Advocates

Send our students to the experts at [email protected].
These advocates are true case managers who can work one-on-one with students to identify root challenges and connect them with the right resources to keep them on track.

Office of Experiential Learning

Join the Club
Join or Die screening

The Office of Experiential Learning is hosting a screening of Join or Die, a documentary directed by Rebecca Davis & Pete Davis that explores the importance of civic engagement. The film follows social scientist Robert Putnam’s research on America’s decline in community connections and its impact on democracy. After the screening, students can join a discussion and learn how to get involved at ACC through student organizations, volunteer opportunities, and voting.

Chips, Dips & Internships

Encourage your students to attend Chips, Dips & Internships to learn how ACC’s Internship Program works, which academic programs offer internships, registration requirements, and preparation tips. Students will also hear from current and former interns and discover the career services available to support them. Register here.

Clicks, Tips & Internships

Students can also attend Clicks, Tips & Internships, the online edition of Chips, Dips & Internships. The event will be hosted via Zoom, and, like the in-person version, students will have the opportunity to explore available internships, learn about registration requirements and preparation advice, hear firsthand experiences from past interns, and receive insight into career services that support student success. The Red Bench Dialogue Event
Red Bench Event

The Red Bench is a dialogue program designed to improve interfaith understanding and civil discourse in our society. Each session focuses on a challenging topic, inviting discussion from faith and non-faith traditions through moderated table conversations led by trained students in Dr. Kathy Frost’s psychology classes, the Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation Center, and Interfaith Action of Central Texas.

The Art Galleries

ArtLAB submission

The Art Galleries at ACC would like to invite all enrolled ACC students, full-time or adjunct Faculty, and all staff to submit up to two artworks for consideration to be displayed in Highland Campus’ ArtLAB space. The deadline for submissions is Sunday, September 7. Artwork can be submitted via this Google form.

2nd Annual Conference on Addiction and Recovery

Addiction and Recovery Conference

The 2nd annual Conference on Addiction and Recovery will be held at the Highland Campus on September 18 and 19. This year, the conference will be a part of a dynamic, week-long substance use awareness campaign designed to reduce stigma surrounding substance use disorders and highlight recovery resources. Encourage your students to attend ACC’s inaugural Fall Student Symposium on September 19. Hosted by Embedded Learning Support Services, this event will introduce students to the wide range of resources and support services available to help them succeed at ACC.
