ACC Online Live Proctoring is now DE Proctoring
October 22, 2021
In the provost’s memo on July 15, 2021, it was announced that ACC campus testing centers would be restructured. Effective Fall 2021, responsibility for asynchronous online live proctoring was transferred to the Distance Education department which has become DE Proctoring. Campus testing centers no longer offer academic course proctoring and will only provide testing for the following exam types:
- Student Accessibility Services (SAS) Testing: All approved SAS testing
- Assessments Tests: Institutionally approved assessment tests (e.g. TSIA or TABE)
- Placement Tests: Placement tests (e.g. ALEKS)
- Make-Up Exams (for students who missed the original test): Make-up testing is available for all on-campus courses but will be limited to no more than 25% of students enrolled in each section for each of four tests.
DE Proctoring is available for asynchronous online (ONL) courses and will proctor your students securely using Google Meet. DE Proctoring is conducted in 2 hour blocks with a 30 minute setup window and proctoring time limited to 90 minutes maximum per exam.
Availability (all times are Central CST/CDT):
- Monday – Thursday: 9am to 9pm
- Friday: 9am to 3pm
- Saturday: 9am to 6pm
- Sunday: 11pm to 5p

All on-campus, hybrid, and synchronous online course sections will do testing during class or lab time but may conduct asynchronous testing through the use of Respondus LockDown Browser or Respondus Monitor. Faculty may also make arrangements to proctor their students directly through Google Meet or Zoom. Please consult the TLED online testing guidefor more information about the availability of tools and procedures for testing.
