From the first day of class, Austin Community College (ACC) offers a wide range of resources to support student success. This spring, we invite faculty to bookmark and share this curated collection of services, support programs, and upcoming events designed to help students stay engaged, informed, and supported throughout the semester. This page brings together high-impact, student-facing opportunities from across the College—making it easy to guide students to the right resources at the right time.

Library Services
ACC Libraries provide essential academic support services and welcoming study spaces across the district. Faculty are encouraged to share the following with students:

Arts, Culture, and Community Engagement
Black History Month
Celebrate Black History Month at ACC this February! This year’s theme, “A Century of Black History Commemorations,” celebrates 100 years of recognizing and honoring Black history month. Events will be hosted across ACC campuses, in-person and online! Students can learn more and stay updated on Black History Month events by visiting austincc.edu/bhm.
Peace & Conflict Studies: How to Have Difficult Conversations, Part Two: How to Be Heard
This interactive session builds on foundational communication skills, helping participants express themselves clearly and constructively in high-stakes or emotionally charged conversations. Topics include understanding positions versus interests and shifting from accusatory questions to dialogue-opening statements. Register here.

The Art Galleries (TAG) Events

- Exploring Uncertainty, Part Two: Opening Reception
- TAG invites students to attend the opening reception for Exploring Uncertainty, Part Two, an interactive exhibition examining how uncertainty can spark curiosity, creativity, and discovery. Featuring work by ACC Studio Art faculty alongside students, alumni, and Austin-based artists, the exhibition includes interactive stations that encourage reflection and shared artistic expression. Truth, Community Healing & Transformation Center: TCHT Week 2026 from January 20 to 23

Financial Aid & Nutrition Assistance
Loan Zone: Navigating Your Student Loans
Hosted by ACC’s Office of Financial Aid, Loan Zone is a free workshop designed to help students understand federal student loans—from borrowing to repayment. Students may attend online or in person at the Highland Campus Welcome Center. Register here.

Multidisciplinary Student Research Symposium
The Liberal Education Advancement and Development initiative invites students from all disciplines to participate in the Multidisciplinary Student Research Symposium. This event provides a platform for students to present and share research, creative projects, and scholarly work from across the College. Submissions from all fields are strongly encouraged. Office of Energy & Sustainability
Spring 2026 Eco Conference Grant
ACC students, faculty, and staff interested in attending a sustainability conference this spring are invited to apply for the Spring 2026 Eco Conference Grant through the Office of Energy & Sustainability. This year’s conference will be hosted by St. Edward’s University in Austin from March 1–3, 2026. Grant recipients may receive support for conference-related expenses and opportunities to engage with sustainability leaders and peers. - Students, faculty, and staff may also submit a presentation proposal. If selected, ACC will sponsor conference expenses. Submission details are available here.
Eco Bag Art Contest
The 14th Annual Student Eco Bag Art Contest is now open. Students are invited to submit original designs by February 8 for a chance to be selected as the 2026 ACC Eco Bag design. The winning artist will receive their choice of prizes (Design Tablet or Solar Generator), and their artwork will be displayed across 11 campuses and online for one year. Read more here.
- Beginning February 10, the ACC community is invited to vote for the winning Eco Bag design. Voting will remain open through February 22, helping determine the artwork featured on this year’s collectible ACC Eco Bag. The winning design will be announced during Earth Week (April 20–24).

Earth Week 2026
ACC celebrates Earth Day with a full week of hands-on activities, seminars, and events across the district. Earth Week 2026 will take place April 20–24, with a full calendar of events coming soon at austincc.edu/earthweek.

Red Bench Dialogue Event
The Red Bench is a dialogue program designed to improve interfaith understanding and civil discourse in our society. Each session focuses on a challenging topic, inviting discussion from faith and non-faith traditions through moderated table conversations led by trained students in Dr. Kathy Frost’s psychology classes, the Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation Center, and Interfaith Action of Central Texas.
