Thank you for your continued support of Austin Community College (ACC) Library Services. As we move toward the winter holidays, I want to remind everyone of your continued access to library resources – not just for students! Even when the libraries are closed, we maintain our 24/7 live chat with a librarian for any research and assignment support needs.

Your ACC EID also gives you access to our electronic resources, guides, and tutorials at any time. Our full list of databases and resources is extensive, so here are a few of my personal favorites I’d like to highlight:

    • ComicsPlus for all things graphic novels with titles for all ages (I highly recommend downloading the app on your phone or iPad for a flip-the-pages experience.)
    • Flipster for popular magazines and targeted periodicals such as People, Advocate, Bon Appetit, Consumer Reports, MIT Technology Review, Architectural Digest, and many more (I highly recommend downloading the app on your phone or iPad for a flip-the-pages experience)
    • Gale: Chilton Library for information on vehicle maintenance and repair, including step-by-step service procedures and ASE test prep quizzes
    • Hobbies & Crafts Reference Center for “how-to” instructions for virtually every hobby enthusiast or newbie with full text for more than 1,500 leading hobby books and craft magazines
    • Kanopy for streaming over 18,000 videos, including films from the Criterion Collection, festival circuit documentaries, and TV series
    • Social Explorer provides easy access to visual demographic information about the United States and thousands of interactive data maps going back to 1790
    • Statista will satisfy your data cravings with statistical data on over 80,000 topics from more than 22,500 sources in business and government
