Professor Lynne Wiesman has interpreting interns who have lost the ability to earn hours and get meaningful practice. If you are teaching synchronously and using Zoom (or another app), consider letting two students team interpret your online class session.

  • You do not have to have deaf or hard of hearing students in your class to offer this opportunity.
  • Students would be instructed to mute their mics and video so they won’t be disruptive to the class.
  • Students would need to record their live work in order to analyze their skills with certified interpreting mentors.
