Using a Virtual Background in Zoom

1. To use a virtual background on Zoom, you must first enable it. To do so, login to the web portal, and click on Settings on the left side panel.
2. Select In Meeting (Advanced).
3. Scroll down until you see Virtual background, and click on the slider to turn it on.
4. Open the Zoom desktop application, and login if needed. Click on the settings icon on the top right of the window.
5. Select Virtual Background (or on a PC it might say, Background & Filters) on the left panel, and choose which background you want. You can also add your own picture by selecting the plus icon on the very right of Choose Virtual Background.
6. If you’re in a meeting and want to change your background, click on the arrow just to the right of the video icon, select Choose Virtual Background, and pick a new background.
7. For the best results, follow these tips:

• • Use bright, even lighting.
  • Use a solid color backdrop.
  • Don’t wear clothing that’s the same color as your backdrop.
  • Higher quality cameras yield better results.
