  1. To use a virtual background on Zoom, you must first enable it. To do so, log in to the web portal, and click on Settings on the left side panel.Settings on Zoom web portal
  2. Select In Meeting (Advanced).In Meetings (Advanced) selection on Zoom
  3. Scroll down until you see Virtual background, and click on the slider to turn it on.Zoom virtual background
  4. Open the Zoom desktop application, and login if needed. Click on the settings icon on the top right of the window.Settings icon on Zoom
  5. Select Virtual Background (or on a PC it might say Background & Filters) on the left panel, and choose which background you want. You can also add your own picture by selecting the plus icon on the very right of Choose Virtual Background.Choose virtual background on Zoom
  6. If you’re in a meeting and want to change your background, click on the arrow just to the right of the video icon, select Choose Virtual Background, and pick a new background.Change virtual background in Zoom
  7. For the best results, follow these tips:
    • Use bright, even lighting.
    • Use a solid color backdrop.
    • Don’t wear clothing that’s the same color as your backdrop.
    • Higher quality cameras yield better results.
