In addition to searching for new course materials or re-adopting course materials from a previous term, faculty have the ability to upload a spreadsheet of materials that will be used in a specific course.
- Log into the Adoption & Insights Portal to view your assigned courses. (Link is also available from the Faculty Portal and Staff Portal)
- Locate the course for which you wish to select course materials.
- Select I’d like to be guided through the adoption process then Upload a file for this course.
- Download the template file that is available. This file will download to your computer in a CSV format, which can be opened with Microsoft Excel.
- Open the downloaded file in Microsoft Excel and fill in the necessary information.
- ISBN (required): Publisher’s ISBN for the selected material.
- MaterialType (required): Options are “New,” “Used,” or “Any”
- AdoptionType (required): Options are “Required,” or “Recommended”
- Notes (optional): This field allows you to enter a note for the course material. This note is visible to students when shopping for their course materials on the Bookstore website.
- Save and close the file.
- In the Adoption & Insights Portal, click Select file to locate the file on your computer.
- Follow any additional on-screen prompts to submit your adoptions.
