By default, Poll Everywhere requires participants to register before joining a poll. However, you can easily disable this requirement to allow for quicker and more anonymous participation.
Default Setting: Registration Required
When you create a new poll, participant registration is automatically enabled. This means that participants will need to provide some identifying information (such as a name or email address) before they can submit responses to your poll.
Benefits of registration:
- Allows you to track individual responses
- Prevents duplicate submissions
- Enables follow-up communication with participants
Disabling Participant Registration
If you prefer to allow anonymous participation or want to streamline the polling process, you can disable the registration requirement:
- Login to polleverywhere.com
- Select the profile icon on the bottom left corner
- Select “Activity settings” on the top right
- Select “Off” under “Remind participants to register for all graded activities?”
- Scroll down and click “Save”
