The HUE HD Pro is a lightweight, portable document camera and visualizer. This USB camera can view a full A4 or US letter sheet and project it onto a video screen via your PC and projector. The camera can also be used to share content in a desktop conference session (Google Meet, Blackboard Collaborate Ultra, WebEx) for remote teaching and learning.

  • The length of the neck makes this camera perfect for viewing a full A4 or US letter page
  • The built-in LED lights will help illuminate your subject
  • The small built-in microphone can be used as an audio capture device for online conferences or recordings
  • Available for Windows and macOS as a USB plug-in device

HUE INTUITION SOFTWARE

The HUE HD Pro is used with specially designed software- HUE Intuition– to allow full functionality and features.

HUE Intuition offers a full suite of camera management tools to allow you to operate the full functionality of the HUE HD Pro camera with ease.

The software allows you to:

  • Share live camera signal as a document camera and create a simple annotation on top of the image
  • Record video and sound and save movies
  • Annotate images and save them as JPG/BMP/PNG/GIF
  • Take snapshots
  • Take multiple images over time

System Requirements to use HUE HD Pro camera

  • Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 OR Mac OS X 10.5+
    Suitable for both 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Windows 10, 8, 7, and Mac OS X
  • 1.5GHz processor
  • 512 MB RAM (1 GB recommended)
  • An Internet connection is required for activation the first time you launch HUE IntuitionPicture of desktop with document camera and document.

CAMERA SET UP

The three basic parts for the lightweight, portable HUE HD Pro are

HUE HD Pro camera
Camera base
USB to mini-USB cable

  1. Connect the camera (that is on the flexible neck) to the camera base.
  2. Connect the mini-USB cable to the back of the camera base
  3. Connect the USB cable to your computer or laptop USB port

Once you have installed the HUE Intuition software on your computer find and click on the ‘Intuition’ icon shortcut on your desktop screen to START and LAUNCH the camera.

You will see a LIVE CAMERA SIGNAL on the main software interface page displayed on your computer screen.

The full suite of camera management tools allow you to operate the full functionality of the HUE HD Pro camera with ease.

On the SOFTWARE INTERFACE page, click and select the DOCUMENT CAMERA button.

 

 

 

Optional – if your live camera signal is inverted, you can click on the flip and/or mirror tool buttons to manually, correct the orientation of your video image.

This correction means you can fix the issue without needing to move your camera.

Place your presentation material under the lens of the camera head.

You can adjust the size of the image by bending the flexible neck of the camera.

Then, manually move the focus ring on the camera head to get a sharp image of your material.

Rotate camera ring to manually focus camera.

Gently touch the top of the LIGHT icon on the camera head to turn on/off four small LED lights to illuminate your presentation material/subject.

Click on the HIDE CONTROLS button – Control F (found upper left corner of screen) to see your live camera signal in FULL SCREEN MODE. Hit the Escape key to return to the main software interface page.

Advance Features – ANNOTATIONS
You can use tools (found at the bottom of the interface page) to create simple ANNOTATIONS on top of your live video signal – drawing, text, shapes, move annotations, erase.

The edited images can then be saved to your computer for future use.
