The Office of Experiential Learning (OEL) partners with Austin Community College (ACC) academic departments to develop and maintain cooperative education programs. These experiences help students gain hands-on skills, build networks, and prepare for future jobs. At ACC, options include internships, academic cooperatives, clinicals, apprenticeships, practicums, field experiences, and capstones.

What We Do
OEL supports departments by:
- Assisting with recruiting and vetting of industry partners, including providing active lists of open vetted internship positions for each departmental practicum each semester
- Recommending collegewide standards for cooperative education courses
- Training and assisting cooperative education faculty facilitators
- Providing cooperative education training for employers
- Collecting collegewide data on cooperative education programs
Working With 1,400+ Companies
