Each School has programs of study that consist of degree and certificate awards, or pathways, designed to help you meet your academic and career goals by offering simplified, streamlined, and targeted course selection. The pathways are intended to help you register for the courses you need to stay on a path to completion and success. These pathways provide assigned advisors, academic support, career-related extracurricular activities, and engaging student life activities.

You must choose a program of study when you apply to ACC but you can change to another if your interests or goals change. Your advisor can help you select the appropriate School’s program of study that best meets your needs. You should choose a program of study that best fits your transfer and career plans.

You must declare a major within your selected program of study before the end of your first semester at ACC. If you are receiving financial aid, you must declare a major upon application to the College in order to receive your funds. To declare or change your major, contact Advising Services.
