Video files are comprised of containers and codecs. The most common format is an MP4 container, with H.264 Video codec and AAC audio codec.  The following article includes the containers and codecs officially supported by Panopto Cloud and Panopto On-Prem setups.  To provide an optimal streaming experience, Panopto encodes into AAC/H264 and packages into HLS in multiple quality levels for video playback in any modern browser.

When posts are moderated, we immediately send you an email notifying you of the reason why you were moderated and provide you the opportunity to edit and republish to earn back credit for your participation. The email subject is titled “Action needed: Your post was moderated on Packback,” and the sender is [email protected].

Editing and republishing your post to earn your full participation points is simple!
