Ayse Melodi Edizer — Composition and Literary Studies

Melodi teaches Integrated Reading and Writing at Austin Community College and is a doctoral student in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Texas State University. She is a qualitative researcher whose work focuses on critical literacy, instructors’ experiences towards artificial intelligence integration in postsecondary literacy classrooms, and the implementation of culturally sustaining pedagogies in developmental literacy courses. Outside of research, she enjoys learning about Crimean Tatar culture. She loves Studio Ghibli films, enjoys traveling, and going on runs with her schnoodle, Leo.
