Alex Watkins — Professor of Technical Communications
Alex Watkins serves as Faculty and Program Coordinator for Technical Communications at Austin Community College. Bridging the gap between the liberal arts and technological innovation, she advocates for pedagogical agility and digital equity as Co-Chair of both the Collegewide AI Committee and the Distance Education Committee. Previously, Alex championed interdisciplinary collaboration as Community of Practice Lead for the Liberal Arts Gateway, a mission she continues as Editor-in-Chief of Curiositas, ACC’s academic journal for the Liberal Arts. A recipient of the NISOD E-Faculty of the Year Award, Alex is dedicated to using Universal Design for Learning to create accessible, meaningful, and community-driven education.
