Dr. Diane Whitley Grote — Professor of Composition and Literary Studies

I have been working at ACC for just over 25 years. In that time, I’ve taught English 1301 and 1302, 2327 Early American Literature (which is my specialty), and 2328 Contemporary American Literature in various formats—synchronous, asynchronous, and in person. I began a project related to Emerson’s artwork in his home, and when I have the opportunity, I conduct research about the material. Eventually, I hope to publish a book about the artwork. While at ACC, I earned a doctorate degree related to curriculum, so this topic also holds my interest.
