Data-Informed Decisions for Student Success

The DESS Data Literacy and Engagement Strategy for instructional faculty and staff aims to increase data-informed decision-making to improve student success with accessible and customized training for deans, department chairs, faculty, librarians, and staff to cultivate a culture of data literacy.

Empowering Data-Informed Decisions and Practices

Data-informed decisions and practices can impact outcomes for our community and, most importantly, our students’ success. Our values of courage, compassion, joy, and yes, are the foundation for the theory of change: to help our students start strong, enroll full-time, and meet their basic needs while wrapped in a culture of belonging and connection. Data literacy unlocks new insights and perspectives, helping us better serve our students and prepare them for a successful lifelong learning journey. Ultimately, our efforts will positively impact the future of higher education.
