Assessment Results
The results posted below are from the spring 2024 survey.
Strengths: ACC has a strong foundational baseline of data literacy. Most respondents understand how to interpret and use data, graphs, and most data-related terminology broadly. In addition, overall attitudes toward engaging with data to maximize student achievement are strong.
Challenges: Though the data literacy baseline is strong, instructional faculty and related staff need direction on the expectations for using data literacy skills in their role and how to access data, at least outside their courses. Responses to desires for data training revealed a great demand for accessing needed data, case study examples of how engaging with data has assisted student success at other higher ed institutions, and identifying and learning about ACC data-related resources.
