About the ACC Faculty Evaluation Manual

The Austin Community College District values quality teaching and a learning environment that supports the continuous enhancement of the professional skills of its faculty. The purpose of faculty evaluation is to support exemplary teaching through a process that is transparent, fair, formative, and results in actionable information faculty can use for continuous enhancement of teaching and student learning and success for all students. This manual has everything you need to successfully complete the faculty evaluation process. It describes in more detail the evaluation steps noted in the Faculty Evaluation Administrative Rules (AR):  #4.1201.02: Faculty Evaluation and Guideline/Procedure #4.1201.02.1: Faculty Evaluation (G/P)).

This manual focuses on instructional classroom faculty. For information on the faculty counselor evaluation process, please visit Faculty Counselor Evaluation. For information on the faculty librarian evaluation process, please visit Faculty Librarian Evaluation.

The Teaching & Learning Excellence Division (TLED)  Office of Faculty Evaluation maintains and implements Austin Community College (ACC) District student course evaluation and procedures recommended by the Faculty Development and Evaluation Shared Governance Committee.
