The Austin Community College District values quality teaching and a learning environment that supports the continuous enhancement of the professional skills of its faculty. The purpose of faculty evaluation is to support exemplary teaching through a process that is transparent, fair, formative, and results in actionable information faculty can use for continuous enhancement of teaching and student learning and success for all students. This manual has everything you need to successfully complete the faculty evaluation process. It describes in more detail the evaluation steps noted in the Faculty Evaluation Administrative Rules (AR): #4.1201.02: Faculty Evaluation and Guideline/Procedure #4.1201.02.1: Faculty Evaluation (G/P)).

The evaluation process is intended to provide feedback to faculty on the effectiveness of their classroom instruction and aid in the development of their professional development plans. This manual has everything you need to successfully complete the faculty evaluation process.
The Teaching & Learning Excellence Division (TLED) Office of Faculty Evaluation maintains and implements Austin Community College (ACC) District student course evaluation and procedures recommended by the Faculty Development and Evaluation Shared Governance Committee. Evaluation is required for faculty counselors, full-time/adjunct faculty, and faculty librarians.
