A call for &#8220;congratulations&#8221; videos is open now through Friday, April 23rd. ACCTV is creating a pre-show for the Virtual Commencement Ceremony ACC is hosting for our Spring 2021 Graduates. Your video messages were one of the big highlights of the last graduation pre-show, so we are reaching out to all instructional departments to continue this new \u201ctradition\u201d of creating video messages to congratulate our graduates.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re specifically looking for videos from:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Individual instructors<\/li>\n<li>Groups from the same instructional department\/team<\/li>\n<li>Instructional leadership<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\"><strong>We invite you to provide this content in one of two ways:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>1) Film your video with Faculty Comms: <\/strong>If you choose to use our team, please designate a representative who will be responsible for gathering your department to select a 30-minute film slot, with name and department information in these <a href=\"https:\/\/calendar.google.com\/calendar\/u\/0\/selfsched?sstoken=UVA5SlFxelhfcFdKfGRlZmF1bHR8NzZhZDBjZGI1M2Y3MzgzMzcxNGE0Y2Q1YzllM2Y0ODY\">Google Calendar appointment slots<\/a>. <strong style=\"font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif\">When you sign up, please let us know how many people will be joining. (i.e. Courtney + 7). For optimal filming experience, we prefer you limit the groups to a max of 12 people.<\/strong> The filming will be done within the 30-minutes on Zoom, where we expect to film the members of your team.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em style=\"font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif\"><strong>What to prepare before filming: <\/strong><\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1HhT32DB-vP03jazpH03PL8Q5_GaC4Jiq\/view?usp=sharing\">Please download this background in advance<\/a>. If you\u2019d like to hold up a sign with a special message to a graduate that you may know is graduating, please decorate\/create in advance. We also encourage you to meet as a team prior to your filming slot so that your message is ready &#8212; we want each team to create a unique well wish, so we would be there mainly just to record and assist with technical questions.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>OR<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>2) Create your own video: <\/strong>If you choose to create your own video, we would need it by <strong>EOD Friday, April 23rd, <\/strong>submitted in <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/drive\/folders\/1x2JZsPNk0NNiZXNOBoG7956i8i1AyMf0?usp=sharing\">this Google Drive folder<\/a>. Below are video guidelines and you&#8217;ll want to watch\u00a0our video covering <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/MF4hOW_NLiQ\">quick tips for filming remotely<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>With either option, we ask that your video message <strong>not exceed two minutes<\/strong>. This is a wonderful team-building opportunity and a great way to cheer on our graduates. We look forward to your creative, fun ideas!<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Video Guidelines<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/drive\/folders\/1ssp402sY-aD_UXOsqjS5FE1lFvU01G06?usp=sharing\">Graduation Zoom Backgrounds<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Submit a .MP4 or .mov file.<\/li>\n<li>Film horizontally.<\/li>\n<li>When choosing what to wear, please avoid clothing with logos other than your ACC\u2019s (we recommend solids if you don\u2019t have ACC clothing).<\/li>\n<li>Avoid wearing stripes and plaid it can play tricks on the camera.<\/li>\n<li>Avoid logos in the background that aren\u2019t affiliated with ACC.<\/li>\n<li>Please do not add imagery or photos into the video that you did not produce yourself.<\/li>\n<li>Please do not add music to the video.<\/li>\n<li>Please do not caption the video.<\/li>\n<li>Provide the speaker\u2019s first and last name.<\/li>\n<li>Provide the speaker\u2019s job title.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please direct questions to <a href=\"mailto:courtney.grams@austincc.edu\">courtney.grams@austincc.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>DEADLINE: FRIDAY, APRIL 23, 2021<\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Calling all faculty, instructional leadership, and teaching &amp; learning champions!
