Programs Committee, a shared governance group, and formally approved at their last meeting.\u00a0 The revised template is attached and available at the master syllabus\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/offices\/academic-outcomes-assessment\/master-syllabi\/master-syllabus-checklist\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/offices\/academic-outcomes-assessment\/master-syllabi\/master-syllabus-checklist&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1557674704998000&amp;usg=AFQjCNHB50Zl_X5MycxrImhNsFGy3xlyAQ\" data-mt-detrack-inspected=\"true\">website<\/a>.\u00a0 An updated checklist is given as well.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>As mentioned above, a key part of the revision was to include more information for students about support services here at the college.\u00a0 The reorganization around Guided Pathways has also moved some things around, and the revision reflects that as well.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>A couple of things to note:<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>The college policies section is available as a separate handout on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/offices\/academic-outcomes-assessment\/master-syllabi\/master-syllabus-checklist\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/offices\/academic-outcomes-assessment\/master-syllabi\/master-syllabus-checklist&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1557674704998000&amp;usg=AFQjCNEmEI6fv0zBPbwcV8k1m8v-w2vcqw\" data-mt-detrack-inspected=\"true\">website<\/a>.\u00a0 While it should be distributed on the first day along with the course syllabus proper, it can be given as a separate document if that is preferred.\u00a0 Unlike the course-specific information, the college policies section will be the same from class to class.<\/li>\n<li>The syllabus\/college policies documents should be made available in BlackBoard by the first class day.\u00a0 Whether they are printed and distributed to the students is left to the instructor&#8217;s discretion, though faculty will presumably go over the key points either way.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>The master syllabi for each course are expected to be examined and revised as appropriate by the department as part of the program review process.\u00a0 Still, course master syllabi can be updated any time, and I hope your departments will consider including the revisions for the fall semester.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>If you have any questions, please don&#8217;t hesitate to ask. <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/0B3IU4XXIwpHaZTQwbmw4OUJwa2ljZDZYS1o2UmJ1bU5icWww\/view?usp=sharing\">See Master Syllabus Template here<\/a>.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>All the best,<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Ron<\/div>\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n<div class=\"m_-8249562211602677218gmail_signature\" dir=\"ltr\" data-smartmail=\"gmail_signature\">\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<div>Ron Johns, Ph.D.<br \/>\nAssociate\u00a0Dean, Assessment\u00a0&amp;
