The Teaching & Learning Excellence Division (TLED)<\/a>, Distance Education, the Fashion Design Department, the Faculty Center for Learning Innovation (FCLI), and other collaborators across the college are offering several professional development events this summer. Be sure to mark these dates on your calendar!<\/p>\n As the summer semester begins, learn how you can help support your students by reading this InfoHub article<\/a> with tips and tricks for a successful session!<\/p>\n Remote Recess<\/a> sessions allow faculty to gather online and learn something new in a low-stakes, casual, and FUN way.<\/p>\n All sessions are from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n The Teaching and Learning Academy<\/a> is designed to support faculty based on evidence-based teaching strategies, reflective practice, and teaching innovation. Anchored in the ACC Faculty Values and developed by twenty-five faculty for faculty, the Teaching and Learning Academy (TLA) contributes to student success by expanding faculty teaching practices. Essential to the Teaching and Learning Academy is the creation of a cohort of faculty who will learn from each other by exploring the scholarship, art, and passion of teaching.<\/p>\n Summer Software Day<\/a> is an annual event that offers workshops for all ACC faculty and staff. The event provides an opportunity to keep up to date with your tech skills and learn new ones to implement in your classrooms and day-to-day tasks. This year, Summer Software Day will be delivered entirely online. Faculty and staff are welcome to submit proposals to present on a variety of topics, including ACC resources, Adobe tools, Google Suite, teaching online, and more.<\/p>\n ACC Library Services invites you to participate, engage with your peers, and explore Stephanie Land\u2019s memoir, Class, with us! We are hosting various synchronous and asynchronous discussions about the book, as well as in-person options at some library locations.<\/p>\n More details can be found in this amazing guide<\/a>, including the interest form<\/a> to join one of our online discussions and a Padlet to share your own \u201cshelfie\u201d and thoughts on the book.<\/p>\n If you haven\u2019t grabbed your copy of Class<\/em> just yet, stop by your nearest ACC Campus Library. A limited number of ebooks are also available for checkout if you prefer to read on your favorite device.<\/p>\n Each Monday in June at HLC, Bldg 4000. Sessions are limited to 12 participants per date and time.
