Updating Courses for Discounted Adobe Creative Campus Access

All ACC students are eligible to purchase Adobe Creative Campus license at a discounted rate of $50 per year. Students in select courses are eligible for an even deeper discounted rate of $10 per year. These courses are identified by deans and added to the system by the Office of Academic Technology.

This is the process for updating courses so that they are included on the list of eligible courses. Users will need access to Course Schedule Notes and Google Drive to make these updates.

1. Request updated list of course numbers from the academic deans. 
   • Send an email to the deans 2-3 weeks before registration begins requesting any additions to the list of Adobe eligible courses. 
   • Include the master list of courses already included in the program.
   • The list is maintained by OAT on Google Drive, but can also be pulled from Informer by someone in the Office of Curriculum Development.
2. Add a course note for new courses in Course Schedule Notes. 
   • Either select Create or Edit in the left margin.
     • Since many courses have existing course notes, you should begin with Edit.
     • CE Courses have a 0 as the second digit of the course number.
   • Select the Term.
     • Term codes begin with the first digit of the year and the last two digits of the year; then F or fall, S for spring, or U for summer; and finally AE for Adult Education or 000 for general education. 
     • For example, Spring 2021 is coded 221S000 or 221SAE.
   • Select the Type. For this action select C-Course. Click submit to go to the next screen.
   • Find the course number in the list.
   • Copy and paste the course note from the Google Doc and hit Save. 
3. Send the list of updated courses via email to the Office of Curriculum Development to update the courses in Informer.
4. Send confirmation to staff/faculty that courses have been updated. 
5. The list of students enrolled in eligible courses is loaded into the Austin Community College WebStore every Tuesday. Students will be able to purchase the license at the $10 rate the Tuesday after the student registers for an eligible course.
