Recording a Video on VidGrid

Below is a video tutorial as well as a step-by-step tutorial with screenshots that demonstrates how to record a video on VidGrid.

Recording on VidGrid is extremely easy. Just go click on the Record button, the recorder will launch directly on your screen.

Let’s take a look at some of the features. You can customize the area you’d like to record on your screen by clicking on the corners and moving it around.

You can also choose “pre” dimensions or Fullscreen.

Once you have chosen your dimensions to record, you can choose to have your webcam on.

Click the Webcam icon that will pop up on the screen.

You can resize your webcam image and place it anywhere on your screen. You can also move this image around during your recording. (The image below shows a smaller resized webcam image in the lower right corner of the recording area).

The next step is to choose your audio recording device in My Audio. You can choose any microphone or use your internal microphone on your computer.

If you go into More Options, you can use Webcam Only which is only going to record your webcam and nothing else on your screen.

You can choose to enable a recorder countdown which is going to give you a three-second countdown before you record.

You can enable rapid recording which allows you to record multiple videos in a row. And you can also see your hotkey settings.

Here you can use Hotkeys to start your recording, minimize the recorder and your recording.

When you’re ready to start recording, click on the Record button. You are going to get your countdown and then it will record everything that’s happening within this red box.

Or if you’re going fullscreen, everything on your screen, you can move your webcam around throughout your presentation or can move it out of the recording area.

The recording ‘red-boundary’ is going to pick up any page that you go to, as well as your audio as you go through your presentation. You can record anything on the web or on your desktop.

When you are finished with your recording, click the Checkbox, it’s going to ask you to give it a quick title. Once you’re done naming it, hit the Checkbox again. And you’re all done.

Your video is automatically uploaded into Vid Grid. You can watch it there or you can go back to My Grid and see your video on that page.
