To install Respondus Lockdown Browser on an iPad you may click the following link (while on the iPad) – https://apps.apple.com/us/app/lockdown-browser/id659101775 or you may search the Apple App Store for Lockdown Browser from Respondus Inc. PLEASE NOTE: We have been made aware that Respondus Lockdown Browser (LDB) is currently incompatible with iPadOS 18. This is a known issue with the vendor and they are currently working on a resolution. In the meantime, students will be unable complete exams in Lockdown Browser if their iPad is running iPadOS 18. Students can still take advantage of the 8 Computer Centers or 4 ACCelerators around the ACC District.
To install Respondus Lockdown Browser on a Chromebook please follow the steps below.
- Sign into Blackboard
- Go to the link for the exam
- The Chromebook should launch a webpage for you to install the Lockdown Browser from the Chrome store.
- If it does not work, you can try to download the application from this link – https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/lockdown-browser-v3/fogjeanjfbiombghnmkmmophfeccjdki
*Please keep in mind, that if a school district owns your Chromebook you will not be able to install Lockdown Browser (or anything else) through our link. You will need to contact the IT department of the school district for assistance.
