Unless your instructor has provided specific instructions for naming your files, try using this suggested naming convention tips for your documents:<\/p>\n

    Use descriptive names (include a hint to the file\u2019s contents within the name of the file; this will be helpful for the next person who will need to find the file).<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  2. \n
    Use alphanumeric characters.\u00a0 Avoid using special characters, including these:<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \\ \u2022 ` or \u2019 \u2022 = \/ \u2022 < or > \u2022 ^ : or ; \u2022 | \u2022 # \u2022 * \u2022 (or) \u2022.<\/code>

      Use underscores ( _ ) rather than spaces.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n

      Be consistent in your naming conventions (i.e. ch1_quiz.rtf, ch2_quiz.rtf, etc.).<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Start with your last name, then capitalize the first letter of each word so that filenames read like this:
