{"id":710,"date":"2020-03-26T17:51:40","date_gmt":"2020-03-26T17:51:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/accinsweb8366.wpenginepowered.com\/faculty\/?post_type=ht_kb&#038;p=710"},"modified":"2024-03-22T02:15:49","modified_gmt":"2024-03-22T02:15:49","slug":"editing-powerpoint-presentations-in-google-slides-on-ipad","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/instruction.austincc.edu\/nexus\/article\/editing-powerpoint-presentations-in-google-slides-on-ipad\/","title":{"rendered":"Editing PowerPoint Presentations in Google Slides on iPad"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Before following this tutorial:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Make sure you have access to your <strong>ACC email<\/strong> and that you&#8217;ve installed the <strong>Google Drive<\/strong> and <strong>Google Slides<\/strong> apps.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure you&#8217;ve saved your PowerPoint in <strong>Google Drive<\/strong> or sent it to your <strong>ACC email<\/strong> address.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<ol>\n<li>Open the email with the PowerPoint and tap on the attachment<\/li>\n<li>When the PowerPoint opens, tap the icon on the top right corner (you can also tap the <strong>Google Drive<\/strong> icon to the left if you just want the file to go straight to your Drive instead of a specific folder &#8211; if you do this, skip to step #8)<a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/instruction.austincc.edu\/nexus\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/66\/2024\/03\/Screenshot1.png?ssl=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-6858 size-full\" title=\"save file to drive\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/instruction.austincc.edu\/nexus\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/66\/2024\/03\/Screenshot1.png?resize=580%2C277&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"saving file to drive\" width=\"580\" height=\"277\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>When the drop-down opens, tap <strong>Drive<\/strong> (tip: you may have to slide left, through the icons until you see it).<a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/instruction.austincc.edu\/nexus\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/66\/2024\/03\/Screenshot2.png?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-6862 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/instruction.austincc.edu\/nexus\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/66\/2024\/03\/Screenshot2.png?resize=580%2C528&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"selecting the drive icon\" width=\"580\" height=\"528\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>When the new window opens, tap <strong>Select Folder <\/strong>and for\u00a0destination, tap <strong>My Drive<\/strong>. Once you&#8217;re happy with where it will save, tap <strong>Save here<a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/instruction.austincc.edu\/nexus\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/66\/2024\/03\/1_Screenshot3.png?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-6864 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/instruction.austincc.edu\/nexus\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/66\/2024\/03\/1_Screenshot3.png?resize=580%2C819&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"save here to my drive\" width=\"580\" height=\"819\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>You will be brought back to the original window, tap <strong>UPLOAD<\/strong> (when it&#8217;s complete, the window will disappear)<a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/instruction.austincc.edu\/nexus\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/66\/2024\/03\/Screenshot4.png?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-6865 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/instruction.austincc.edu\/nexus\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/66\/2024\/03\/Screenshot4.png?resize=580%2C233&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"choose to upload the file\" width=\"580\" height=\"233\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>Go back to your <strong>Home Screen<\/strong> and open up <strong>Google Drive<\/strong> &gt; Locate the PowerPoint presentation (this will depend on where you saved it within your Drive) and tap on it to open.
