At Austin Community College, departments can create digital badges to recognize specific skills, achievements, or participation. These badges, part of ACC\u2019s micro-credential & professional development framework, are awarded through the Suitable<\/strong> platform and cater to faculty, staff, and students.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

1. Submit the Discovery Form<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Start by completing the Discovery Meeting Form. This lets us know your goals and helps begin the development process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


2. Meet with the Badge Coordinator<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Micro-Credential & Badging Coordinator will contact you to schedule a meeting. You\u2019ll discuss your proposal, identify the appropriate badge type, and review the next steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Complete Required Approval Forms<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Once the badge type is confirmed, you\u2019ll receive the relevant approval forms based on your audience (students, faculty, or staff). Fill these out and submit them for review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Approval Process<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Your request will be reviewed by the appropriate committee or department (e.g., Curriculum & Programs Committee, Faculty Development, or HR Staff Development). You\u2019ll be notified once it\u2019s approved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Submit the Official Badge Development Form<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

After receiving approval, complete the final badge development form. This form captures essential details like badge criteria, learning outcomes, and graphic elements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. Badge Creation<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Badging coordinator will build your badge in Suitable, ensure it meets branding guidelines, and prepare it for launch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. Training & Launch<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Once your badge is live in Suitable, you\u2019ll receive training on how to award credit and track progress within the platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
