My dissertation examines the evolution of the American concept of the national interest. I retired in 2024 from the U.S. Department of Defense after 30 years of military and civil service, most recently as Senior Advisor for Strategy at the U.S. Army Futures Command. I previously served as Director of Strategy for U.S. Forces Korea and in senior intelligence roles worldwide.
