Marketing efforts included announcements in the RiverBat Echo, Riverbat Gazette, and TLED\u2019s Faculty\/Staff Digest, digital signage, and posters to promote microcredential registration and info session signups. The Summer microcredential session began on June 26th with 156 students enrolled in one or more of the six microcredentials released to date. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6fe01163 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"6fe01163\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4346f7f2 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"4346f7f2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Highlights<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-350bfdb1 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"350bfdb1\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><b>Outreach<\/b><\/p><ul><li style=\"list-style-type: none\"><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Added four new info sessions for Fall registration.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Met with<\/span><b> Arun John, Christi Berni, Luanne Preston<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (LuAnne will embed Word Processing in two courses), <\/span><b>Liberal Arts Chairs <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(Grant Potts).<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Met with <\/span><b>Mieca Johnson Peralta &#8211; <\/b><b>Adult Ed ABE \/ HSE Supervisor<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and her Chairs (six faculty interested in embedding a microcredential and becoming Digital Navigators).<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The following Adult Ed faculty members will be contacted to embed a microcredential and\/or become a Digital Navigator: <\/span><b>Ana\u00ed (Kendra) Perales<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><b>David Garcia<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><b>Jennifer Mansour<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><b>Mariposa (Candace) McGriffy<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><b>Nicholas Bryant, Vaaron Juarez, and Martha Carrasco-Salazar<\/b><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">70 sign-ups for Student Info Session Two on June 7th of which 16 showed up with 23 registrations into MC\u2019s). Info Session Three &#8211; about 20 are signed up.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Announcements for registration and info sessions in the <\/span><b>RiverBat Echo,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> the<\/span><b> Riverbat Gazette, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">and<\/span><b> TLED\u2019s Faculty\/Staff Digest.\u00a0<\/b><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Met with<\/span><b> Vanessa Errico<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> &#8211; Manager\/The ACC Military Families Center.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Held Implementation Committee Meeting on June 8th.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Added general announcement on the homepage of the DFI LMS to advertise and drive current students to sign up for Fall microcredential offerings.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Created a new popup for the website to advertise Fall microcredential offerings.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Met with <\/span><b>Victoria Taylor<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> from Fashion Design to add microcredentials into Fashion Design curriculum.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Met with <\/span><b>C. Jason Vidrine, Wendy Lym, Susan Meigs, and Ursula Parker<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> concerning the addition of Microsoft Word and\/or PowerPoint for CLS\/English Composition I.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Creating two small videos (2 minute introduction, and a 2 minute Digital Navigator Introduction), one-pager, and a survey for English Comp I faculty to review \u2013 to be sent out by Wendy Lym.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Presented to approximately 120 advisory and counselors at the <\/span><b>Academic Guidance Forum.\u00a0<\/b><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Presented to approximately 15 faculty, students, and staff at Info Session Three which resulted in 12 registrations.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Met with <\/span><b>J. Wade Allen<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> to talk about outreach to his area and adding a microcredential to Philosophy courses.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Placed two adverts\/graphics on the <\/span><b>Faculty\/Staff <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">page and in <\/span><b><i>The Classified<\/i><\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">for the CEA Association.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Placed a mention in the bullet section in <\/span><b>TLED\u2019s Weekly <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">newsletter.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><p><b>Microcred<\/b><b>entials<\/b><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A congratulatory email was created in Constant Contact and sent to 55 students who earned digital badges.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Created posts on DFI website to give DFI students step-by-step instructions on how to 1) add a digital badge to their LinkedIn profile, 2) how to get Microsoft Office 365 through ACC, and 3) how to download Microsoft Access to a Windows PC. Links to the posts were added to the syllabi, to the Student Resource on the LMS, and to the Student Support page on the DFI website.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Filled two opt-in microcredentials<\/span><b> (Web Builder and Spreadsheets)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and thus, added two more for summer registration\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Added fall registration on the website for first and second sessions which includes three new microcredentials: Photoshop for Web, HTML\/CSS, and Web Analytics.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Approval of ten Microcredentials through the Badging Sub-Committee of which now will be submitted to the Curriculum Committee for final approval.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Continued refining and improving microcredential content on LMS. Added digital skills questions\u00a0 to pre and post assessment surveys for each of the six microcredentials now being offered.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Ten Microcredentials were approved <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">at the June Curriculum and Programs meeting.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Continued refinement on five <\/span><b>microcredentials that will open to learners on June 26th.<\/b><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Registration of 136 opt-in learners<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> into eight sections \u2013 an average of 15 each.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Registration of <\/span><b>20 co-curricular students<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> for Web Builder microcredential.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Addition of <\/span><b>three new microcredentials<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> on the Fall Schedule for Photoshop, HTML\/CSS, and Web Analytics.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Recruitment of <\/span><b>three new Digital Navigators.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><b>Data<\/b><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">55 digital badges were awarded to students who successfully completed the Web Builder microcredential in Summer 2022, Fall 2022, and Spring 2023.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Surveys for technical abilities\/perceptions added to each microcredential for the purpose of drilling down and gathering baseline data.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">107 Learners (as of June 9, 2023) are signed up for the offerings of 6 Microcredentials with 8 offerings in the summer session.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To date, 23 Information Sessions and\/or Presentations have been held. For Industry and Community Partners presentations have been made to Apple, South Texas College, the Aspen Institute (on a panel for a webinar), ACC&#8217;s General Assembly, and SACSCOC. Two Info Sessions have been held for Opt-In Learners for to fill the summer microcredential sections; Six sessions have been held as one-on-one&#8217;s with Deans to encourage buy in from their chairs and faculty <\/span><b>(Deshaunta Stewart, Grant Potts, Giao Phan, Nina Alamay, Lorlie Ellis, Perry Crafton, and Adult Ed Supervisor, Mieca Johnson Peralta). <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The meetings have resulted in info sessions held for the chairs from the areas of Deshaunta Stewart, Grant Potts, Giao Phan, and Mieca Johnson \u2013 of which early adopter faculty members have arisen.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Refinement of <\/span><b>three surveys i<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">n collaboration with OIRA targeted to students, department chairs, and faculty.
