A poster promoting the Problem Solving with AI microcredential was also created and distributed to all ACC campuses, as well as a slide for the general assembly promoting data-focused DFI microcredentials. Linda and Karina did a lot of outreach. Started posting.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Created a digital poster to include in newsletters and communication targeted toward faculty, about recommending, embedding, and taking DFI microcredentials.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">October 1 &#8211; Met with Melissa Mahoney and Joanna Han (D2L LMS) to discuss further alignment with D2L and their Course Merchant product.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">October 1 &#8211; Met with Mary Kohls to review proposed AI Level One Certificate and proposed AI DFI MCs.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">October 3 &#8211; Met with Mary Kohls, Fred Lover (CSIT Professor), Jon-Mikel Pearson (CSIT Asst. Chair and Professor), and La Tasha Roberts (CSIT Coordinator BAS CyberSecurity) to review proposed AI Level One Certificate and proposed AI DFI MCs to the CSIT Taskforce.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">October 4 &#8211; Presented above to CSIT Taskforce.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">October 7 &#8211; Met with Laura Lucas to discuss the progress of working with an attorney regarding the intellectual property of content in DFI MCs.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">October 10 &#8211; Met with Grant Potts (Interim Dean of Curriculum and Programs) to discuss policies and procedures of the Badging Committee<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">October 14 &#8211; Met with Mary Kohls to discuss the Advisory Committee meeting about proposed AI Level One Certificate and proposed AI DFI MCs.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">October 15 &#8211; Met with ACC GROW Student Kara to review animation and orientation video.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">October 15 &#8211; Met with Melissa Mahoney, Joanna Han, and Martin Broughton (D2L) to review a demo of their Course Merchant product.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">October 25 &#8211; Karina presented a hybrid version of the Problem Solving with AI microcredential for the Office of College Relations &amp; Marketing professional development day, at the Highland campus. There were about 25 participants and they were engaged and the response was very positive. The hybrid version covered Start Here and Competency 1 in person, and gave participants the option to complete the rest of the microcredential on their own. Since we have observed that students are a little over 70% more likely to obtain a badge in a microcredential if they complete Competency 1, we are curious if this hybrid version could be a delivery model that would increase completion rates, and if so, how we might adopt it on a broader scale.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><b>Microcredentials\u00a0<\/b><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Work was continued on developing the Advanced PowerPoint microcredential and loading it into the LMS.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Nancy and Kimberly created attention-getting, animated GIFs to put in emails to registrants of microcredentials to remind them of their upcoming session.
