Recommendations <\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-normal-font-size\">Into the future<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">We will continue to assess the data literacy of instructional faculty and related staff on an on-going annual basis to monitor progress and continue to improve our strategy for providing the most effective training to increase data \/>\n\t\t\t<\/svg>\n\t\t<\/button><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-normal-font-size\">2024 Data Literacy Assessment Development<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">The DESS developed the data literacy assessment in the spring of 2024 using the following steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Reviewed data literacy assessments currently administered by other educational institutions and in other settings, with a focus on the ACC context and definition of Data Literacy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Subjected the assessment to an expert review (questionnaire design) by the ACC Office of Institutional Research and Analytics.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Held two focus group-based cognitive interviews with instructional faculty to learn how the respondents understood the questions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Submitted the assessment for Executive Sponsor review by the VC Instruction (Dr. Gaye Lynn Scott) and the VC Institutional Research &amp; Analytics (Dr. Jenna Cullinane Hege).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">The DESS evaluated the responses to the Assessment after the initial administration, including factor analysis to determine question redundancy, and made changes to the Assessment as deemed necessary for the 2025 iteration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">See the <a
