They provide workplace settings in which students gain practical experience in a discipline, enhance skills, and integrate knowledge. Practicum classes are regulated by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB). Practicum experiences typically have a larger contact hour requirement than internships and may or may not be paid.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Health Science Practicums<\/strong> \u2013 see below<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Clinicals<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Clinical experience is key component in some programs.
