Any credit awarded will not be calculated in your GPA.<\/p>\n<h2>Previous Coursework<\/h2>\n<p>ACC uses the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.acenet.edu\/Pages\/default.aspx\">American Council on Education (ACE)<\/a> reference guide \u201cEvaluation of Educational Experiences in the Armed Services\u201d to award credit for military training. If a course equivalency is not listed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.acenet.edu\/Pages\/default.aspx\">ACE<\/a>, you may contact <a href=\"https:\/\/www.acenet.edu\/Pages\/default.aspx\">ACE<\/a> directly to request a review (visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.acenet.edu\/Pages\/default.aspx\">ACE<\/a> for contact information.) ACC\u2019s instructional programs and areas have final authority on awarding credit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.acenet.edu\/Pages\/default.aspx\">ACE<\/a>\u00a0recommendations apply to military training\/courses only.<\/p>\n<h2>Health and Kinesiology Credit<\/h2>\n<p>If you were active-duty for at least six months, you may be eligible to receive 4 credits of health and kinesiology. To receive credit, provide the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/offices\/admissions-and-records\">Office of Admissions and Records<\/a> with your DD Form 214 or a certified letter from your commanding officer attesting to your period of service.<\/p>\n<p>All veterans must submit official military transcripts for evaluation.
