Earning credit through challenge examinations is equivalent to passing a cumulative, end-of-the-term examination.<\/p>\n<p>Below is a list of some of the instructional programs at Austin Community College (ACC) offering institutional course credit by examination, sorted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/academic-and-career-programs\/\">Area of Study<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> Not all courses in a program are necessarily eligible for credit by examination. Check with your <a href=\"https:\/\/programs.austincc.edu\/academic-program-department-contacts\/\">instructional program or area<\/a> for available classes and eligibility requirements.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>International students may not apply course challenges\u00a0toward their 12-credit enrollment requirement.<\/li>\n<li>You must meet the course prerequisites and institutional\u00a0enrollment requirements in order to receive credit.<\/li>\n<li>You may challenge a course only once. Additional\u00a0challenges are not permitted.<\/li>\n<li>You may not challenge a course in which you currently are\u00a0enrolled or previously earned a grade of A, B, C, D, F, I, W,\u00a0or AU.<\/li>\n<li>Grades earned through course challenges are not\u00a0calculated in your GPA and do not count toward scholastic\u00a0achievement awards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Prospective students who have a current CDA (Child Development Associate) Credential from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdacouncil.org\/en\/\"> Council for Professional Recognition<\/a> may have the course requirements for CDEC 1311, CDEC 1318, and CDEC 1354 waived (up to 9 hours).
