You may earn up to 30 credits for military training and service in combination with other non-institutional coursework.<\/p>\n
To receive credit, you must provide the Office of Admissions and Enrollment<\/a> with an official military transcript, a certified copy of your DD Form 214, and complete one class at Austin Community College (ACC). Any credit awarded will not be calculated in your GPA.<\/p>\n ACC uses the American Council on Education (ACE)<\/a> reference guide \u201cEvaluation of Educational Experiences in the Armed Services\u201d to award credit for military training. If a course equivalency is not listed by ACE<\/a>, you may contact ACE<\/a> directly to request a review (visit ACE<\/a> for contact information.) ACC\u2019s instructional programs and areas have final authority on awarding credit.<\/p>\n Note:<\/strong> ACE<\/a>\u00a0recommendations apply to military training\/courses only.<\/p>\n If you were active duty for at least six months, you may be eligible to receive 4 credits of health and kinesiology.
